Our Team

Cherie Monahan

Owner/Director

Prior to opening this school, Cherie Monahan spent 25 years of teaching at a Christian elementary school in West Los Angeles. At Age 50 she went back to school and at age 55 she received her Bachelor's Degree. She retired from teaching in 2012 . The next year  she went back to get her certification in Early Childhood Development. She is married to a wonderful godly man who has  been a tremendous help in making Teach Love Connect where it is today! 

Miss Stephanie

Teacher

Miss Stephanie is currently majoring in Child Development at El Camino. She is working towards her Bachelor's Degree.  She has been teaching four years. Miss Stephanie teaches our two-three year old class this semester.   There’s a lot of hands on in this class.  She will be going over their colors, alphabet and counting. She is very good about making the kids feel comfortable and ready to learn for the day!

Miss Jill

Teacher

Miss Jill is currently majoring in Child Development at El Camino. She is working towards her Bachelor's Degree. Miss Jill reinforces the alphabet and phonetic sounds to our three year olds. She is “AMAZING” with the children with her upbeat personality and cheerful disposition. She makes all the children feel loved and important whenever she sees them.  She has a son who is in the 1st grade that she enjoys sharing stories about in daily conversation.

Mrs. Funk

Teacher

Mrs. Allison Funk has been teaching since 2009. She is currently enrolled in El Camino and majoring in Child Development. She is working towards her Bachelor's Degree. Mrs. Funk teaches the 18 month - two year olds toddler class.  The toddlers, under Mrs. Funk's  direction, are working on recognizing their ABC's and shapes as well as learning about God's great creation. She has a daughter  that is the apple of her eye. 

Mrs. Sandoval

Mrs. Bridget Sandoval is enrolled in El Camino College and majoring in Child Development. Mrs. Sandoval is now the teacher for the Pre-K class and Hot Lunch Provider. She was interested in putting her son in preschool and scheduled a tour. After the tour, she shared her desire to help in the school and the rest is histrory.  

Mrs. Gray

Hello my name is Mrs. Leslie Gray and I have been an educator for over thirty-eight years. At a very young age, I believe that I was called to teach children about Jesus and how much He really and truly loves them. Children are my passion! I absolutely love to worship and praise God. I love my husband, my father and mother, sisters, and brother very, very much! I enjoy riding my bike, reading, exercising, and visiting my family & friends.

Miss Joan

Volunteer

Miss Joan is a volunteer and is responsible for keeping our school clean and tidy. She is beloved by all the children. She is quiet and soft spoken with a huge heart to serve! We are so grateful to have her.

Mrs. Sipin

Secretary

Mrs. Sipin is the mother of two children who attend TLC. One is in Mrs. Funk's 18m-2yr class and the other is in Kindergarten. She is very organized with a passion to help the director in any way means possible. She is responsible for taking care of payments, receiveing phone calls, answering the door, organizing files among many other roles that make the school run smoothly.
